Hebridean paradise on the Isle of Erraid.

I've been a little bit quiet on the blog front lately...it's been a busy summer since my last post in May!

After a quick hit Cuillin traverse with Mairi we headed to the small tidal Island of Erraid on the South West tip of Mull.  Erraid is somewhere I have wanted to visit for a long time but good weather and free time haven't aligned until this year!

At low tide it is possible to walk across the sands from Mull to Erraid.  Mairi and I wanted to spend a week camping on the beach and climbing on the short (but steep!) granite crags surrounding the bay.  We also wanted to eat well and take wetsuits etc etc.  = lots of kit... we decided that this would be a pain to carry in rucksacks so we would take a boat!

My Dad very kindly leant us a small inflatable with 5hp outboard.  The engine belonged to my Grandpa and must be about as old as I am!  Although old I was informed that it was "a good runner"... long story short I'm glad we packed the oars!

Anyway here are a few photos from the trip!
