Mairi Fenton is the other half of Scott Webster Mountaineering! She works on the logistics of overseas expeditions and is our on call support.
Mairi trained as a marine biologist and graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc in Marine & Freshwater Biology. She has since spent three years (four summer seasons and two winters) working as a researcher for the British Antarctic Survey, based out of the Rothera Research Station. This was a varied job involving year round data collection that includes scuba diving under the frozen sea ice in the winter!
Mairi also has extensive field work experience in the Arctic having carried out numerous scientific trips in the Canadian Arctic working with local Inuit hunters.
Mairi is currently working towards an MSc in Marine Science at The Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh.
Mairi has extensive travel experience and has visited all 7 continents. She is an experienced skier and mountaineer, having climbed to over 6000m's and skied in Arctic Greenland. She enjoys planning the next adventure!
